so you will have to check it over and over again, or just stick with the largest forum, missing the other ones.
At SkatersNews.com, we combine all threads from 41 skating forums into one single webpage, creating a snapshot of what is going on in the skating world.
We only show you the thread titles. Once you have found an interesting thread, you will be directed to the original website.
On our website, we only feature thread titles, and not a single post.
This way, we do NOT compete with the original forum sites, rather trying to compliment those sites.
We also include direct updates from Olympic figure skaters on Twitter. So you will learn some news directly from your favorite skaters, before the news are posted anywhere else! We only include Twitter accounts that belong to the top skaters or respected skating organizations.

Are you the owner of one of the forums? If yes, we would like to explain how our technology works and possible effects on your bandwidth and stats
- we do not compete with your site. We only have titles and dates for each thread. We direct all readers back to your site once they have found a thread of their interest.
- we only check pages that have list of threads. We do NOT touch individual thread pages. So per one request to your site we would gather all the info about multiple threads. Per each subforum, we only check ONE first page with threads and we do NOT go to the second page (for the older threads). This way, we consume little to no bandwidth from your website. We do NOT load images.
- How often do we check for the new messages on your site? It will depend on your site activity level. When there is a hot discussion going on, we will check it every 5 minutes. However, if there has been no changes since the last visit of our crawlers, we will quickly increase the interval up to 3 hours. So you would probably get from 8 to 40-60 requests per 24 hours submitted by our crawlers. Maybe a bit more, if your forum have many active subforums.
- We provide a backlink to your website for both humans and search engines.
- We ultimately refer our visitors back to your site, and there may be users who would not visit your site otherwise, sticking with largest skating forum only. Since it is not likely for many people to keep up with all the 41 skating forums, we have created SkatersNews.com
